Our Terms and Conditions

Please read through these, by engaging our services you are agreeing with and accepting these terms.

Due to the nature of our business we are sending quotes every day and cannot therefore reserve a date until confirmation is received and a deposit has been paid. All quotes are valid for 14 days pending availability. The deposit is non-refundable and should the booking be cancelled less than 2 weeks in advance; the full amount is due. If a booking is confirmed less than 10 days before the gig the full amount is due in advance. If the deposit has not been settled and communications support the fact that the gig has been confirmed then you will be liable for the full amount should the event cancel. Balance payment is due on delivery or within the week preceding the gig, unless otherwise negotiated. Cash deposits will be subject to a “bank fee charge” of R30 per R1000 and Overseas payments will be subject to a fee of R50 per R1000 (South African Banks charge a significant fee for these deposits). Payment over 30 days in arrears will incur interest at the Legal Rate of 15.5% p/a under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. All details regarding a booking MUST be agreed upon by both parties in writing. We deal with a lot of events and inquiries and do not as a rule make any verbal agreements or arrangements, all discussions must be followed up with an email confirming any arrangements and all details must be clarified in writing, otherwise our standard arrangements as stipulated in the quote doc will be honored.

We reserve the right to re quote on gigs booked 6 months or more in advance if there are massive economic fluctuations (drastic fuel prices increases, etc). In such an event the client has the right to cancel the booking with a 50% refund of any monies/deposit paid back to them.

NB : All quotes (unless otherwise specified and agreed upon) include an arrival for set up and sound check of one hour* prior to the commencement of the performance and strike and removal of equipment from the venue upon completion of the allotted performance schedule. Hidden costs to the band not made apparent by the client before quoting (ie: early set-up and sound checks, rehearsals, inability to strike and remove equipment upon completion and other circumstances necessitating member/s being on site over and above the allotted time) or venue, time and date changes may be subject to a re-quote or additional fees. Events that run late for whatever reason will be subject to additional fees as per our extra set fees which are charged per hour, or part thereof, over the time agreed upon.

In order for us to provide a professional service we need all details pertaining to the performance (times, venue, Guest capacity and technical elements, other acts performing, sound check requirements, etc) at least 10 days prior to the event so that we can make necessary arrangements to be available timeously, without these details we cannot confirm availability, the deposits will be forfeited and the full amount will be due.

If you have specific repertoire you want; please let us have copies of the music at least 2 weeks in advance, unless you have arranged for us to organize such.

The band requires a stable, level and even set up surface or stage area protected from the sun and weather conditions, free of water and other leaks. Damage to equipment caused by negligence of this will be for the clients account. Access to the venue needs to be suited to the capabilities of a small family sedan, if a 4x4 is required to get the band and equipment to the performance site then such transportation needs to be provided by the Client from a suitable and convenient point.

We require a dedicated, stable power supply within a 10m radius of set up.

Damage to equipment caused by rowdy guests will be for the clients account.

Please note: Refreshments are to be provided for the performers for the duration of the performance, when catering should the event fall over a meal time and/or if the venue is more than an hour from Durban please make provision for meals (specified per act ) if this is for some reason not possible kindly inform us upfront so we can allow the artists to make provision themselves. Please ensure the meals are ready for the band at the start of one of their breaks and that they have a suitable seating area, cutlery and crockery (similar to what you are serving guest with).

We charge an additional fee for on-site and venue meetings (most of what needs to be discussed can be done so by email or over the phone) price determined on request – this is not applicable to all meetings; please inquire.
In the unusual but not unprecedented event that a member or members of any act is unavailable for any viable reason, a suitable tried and tested stand-in will be arranged by us at no extra cost.

All written quotes are valid for 14 days, travel costs are subject to change as per massive fluctuations in the prices of petroleum. LOADSHEDDDING is no fault of the band. If it occurs we can negotiate onsite to play additional time to make up depending on commitments of band members. The fee charged hourly will be a nominal one of no greater than 50% of the additional set fee quoted above.

If travelling more than 150km to a venue from Durban and if leaving the venue has us on the road after 10pm; we may require overnight accommodation and meals and a stay-over fee per member required, please inquire.

*For Manteca and The Minkeys the standard arrival time for set up is 1.5 hours prior to performance time, additional time required will incur additional charges.
