We are all facing a difficult situation with an unforeseeable future. Gatherings of over 100 people have been banned meaning many events will have to be scaled down or cancelled. Venues are feeling the pinch and Event Industry and related Entertainment Industry service providers have been left in a state of disarray with a flurry of cancellations and postponements. Many freelance and small business owners are left without much prospects and companies big and small as well as private individuals with weddings and Exhibitions planned are out of pocket with travel and logistical plans cancelled or in limbo. We all need to do our bit to help flatten the curve. Flattening the curve means slowing down the infection rate so we do not end up with more sick people in need of medical attention than we have facilities to deal with them. If we can slow the infection rate down significantly then our healthcare systems will better cope with the patients in need - which is better for everyone.
To this end we are working with our clients in ensuring that there is room to maneuver. Bookings that are able to move will be moved to suitable new dates at no charge. Events that are small enough will be handled with utmost precaution and minimal physical interaction. Hand washing and social distancing will strictly be adhered to at all times. We will not put ourselves or our clients at risk or risk spreading the virus. All members have been urged to self quarantine should they start presenting with symptoms or come in contact with someone who has presented with symptoms and a replacement will be substituted. Likewise any clients who are aware of illness on their side need to inform us ahead of time and take the necessary precautionary measures.
Events that cancel outright will be liable to our standard cancellation terms.
The best precaution is to behave as if you are already carrying the virus yourself and try as best possible to limit infecting anyone else.
